Our Pastors

Greg became lead pastor at Elim Life Church in 2021. Since graduating from Elim Bible Institute in 2002, he has served in a variety of ministry roles including kids and youth pastor, worship leader, family pastor, and campus director. He has his Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in leadership coaching.

When he’s not prepping for a sermon or working with the team on a new ministry idea, Greg loves to play piano and explore local ice cream shops with his family. He’s also a “capital E” extrovert and believes real men do dishes.

Greg and Melanie are passionate about worship, prayer, and communicating God’s Word in a way that gives people the spiritual and practical tools they need for life. They have four children, Gabe, Evan, Eden, and Ayla, and live in Lima, NY.

A service usually is typically 90 minutes long. That includes worship music and a message. A service at Elim Life Church is centered around one main thing: experiencing the presence of God together. This is expressed through music and singing, spending time connecting with others, hearing life-forming teaching, and praying for each other. If you have kids, we have excellent programming to make sure they are safe and enjoy coming to church too.

Our Chapel service is Sunday mornings at 8:30am in our Youth Room. We found that some people prefer the music to be scaled back and a bit more acoustic. If you appreciate a more intimate and slightly shorter experience on Sunday morning, our Chapel Services are for you! Please note: there are no kids or middle school ministries provided during this service.

This is different for everyone. If you are the kind of person who wants to get settled before the service begins, it is a good idea to arrive about ten minutes early. Especially if you have children that will need to be checked in at Elim Life Kids. This will also give you time to enjoy items from our café or meet other people before the service! If you are more comfortable being fashionably late, that’s all right too! We still recommend arriving by the start of the service so that you don’t miss out.

We want you to be comfortable, and you are invited to come as you are. Whether you prefer to dress up or wear jeans and a t-shirt, you are welcome at Elim Life. You’ll find that most people dress casual.

Your kids are as important to us as our own. We work hard to provide a safe atmosphere where your kids can have fun and learn about Jesus. We have trusted volunteers and staff creating great environments for all of our kids, and we have a place for the whole family on Sunday mornings: an infant care room for nursing mothers, nursery, toddlers, 3/4 yr. olds, 5s & K, elementary age, and 5-8th grades.

And if you have a teen in 9th grade or older, our 585 Youth Church meets on Wednesday nights at 6:45pm.

Worshiping God through music is an inspiring experience. With the exception of our Chapel Service, our music is loud and enthusiastic! You’ll find the style of our worship is “young,” but the heart of our worship is timeless. However, for a change of pace, we quiet down a bit during our Chapel service with minimal instruments and a shorter service.

We have plenty of onsite parking for all of our members and guests. Please feel free to use whatever spot you’re able to find and come on in!
